The members of Linfield Fire Company would like to introduce Noah Phifer. Noah joined our station as a junior on November 6, 2014. Being a junior, he could only help outside around the fire scenes, clean up after calls and watch what the other firefighters got to do. It wasn’t long before Noah was able sign up to take the grueling 188 hours of both classroom and hands-on training to become a certified firefighter. Being a teenager and committing to this amount of time and training is absolutely amazing. Noah graduated from Fire Fighter 1 on June 25, 2017. He has made many calls since then and has grown as a firefighter.

Noah is currently attending University of New Haven and in his time off, still volunteers with Linfield Fire Company in protecting the community.

On January 1, 2018 at 1940 hours it was HIS time to shine. Linfield Fire Company responded to a report of a fully involved vehicle fire on Route 422. As Squad 51 responded to the scene Noah donned his air pack with his fellow firefighters. The orders were given out from the officer’s seat up front….”Noah you take the nozzle on this one”. The Squad stopped, the firefighters jumped out, the nozzle was handed to Noah, hose was charged and ready to go. Noah and his team advanced towards the fully engulfed vehicle. He opened the nozzle and started to extinguish the fire. They put the fire out quickly.

After all was said and done we here at Linfield Fire Company want to say……………..Congratulations Noah Phifer!!!
